Road Blocked After Lorry Overturns Overturned Near Halton Roundabout

UPDATE 5:33pm – The A5 Chirk / Halton Roundabout remains closed after a lorry overturned in the area earlier this morning.

The road has been closed since 9am – however recovery work has been underway much of the afternoon.

ORIGINAL: The A5 near Chirk is blocked this morning due to an overturned lorry.

Emergency services were called to the Halton Roundabout, Chirk just after 9am this morning following reports of a road traffic collision.

As a result of the incident the A483 / A5 northbound are blocked and police are diverting traffic from the area.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use an alternative route if possible.
