One of Wrexham’s most popular festive events will return to the town centre bigger and better than ever next month.

The annual Victorian Christmas Market, which attracted around 15,000 visitors last year, will return to Wrexham full of festive cheers on Thursday December 7th.

Usually held in Church Street and the grounds of St Giles Church, there have been growing calls in recent years to expand the market into the town’s streets to help meet the growing demand. This is typically due to the congestion during mid afternoon and early evening at the gates the the churchyard.

Such calls have been met and for the first time the market will spill out from the grounds of St Giles and all the way up to Queen’s Square.

More than 100 stalls will be on hand during the day, selling seasonal treats, gifts, sweets, wine and pastries set up from St Giles to Queen’s Square.

There will also be Victorian street entertainers, brass band, a barrel organist, Punch and Judy and a traditional carousel to keep everyone of all ages entertained!

Also on sale will be the new Wonders of Wrexham 2018 Calendar so don’t miss your opportunity to get your hands on this unique collection of shots of Wrexham taken during 2017.

This year’s Market will take place between 12 noon and 8pm. There will also be free car parking in ALL council-owned car parks – but be sure to check how long the free parking is for before leaving your car!
