Events by staff and customers from the Fresh and Tasty sandwich and coffee shop in Gresford have raised a substantial sum for Nightingale House Hospice.

Events held during the last 12 months, including a Zumbathon, shopping evening and afternoon tea raised £1190.

One of the organisers Marie Leach said: “We have only been this successful thanks to our customers who have supported us and attended the various events. We continue to fund raise for Nightingale House Hospice as it is close to everyone’s hearts and we all know someone who has a connection with it”

Nightingale House Hospice Area Fundraiser Sam Eastwood said: “It’s wonderful that Fresh and Tasty support us throughout the year, not only by holding their own events but by taking part in ours, holding raffles in the cafe, donating raffle prizes and having our collection tin in a prominent place on their counter.

“It seems like a donation arrives from them every other week, and Marie and her team are so enthusiastic. We are very lucky to have their ongoing support.”
