Over the past few months a number of North Wales Police have taken to Twitter to report and update on incidents that have taken place in and around the town.

Here at Wrexham.com we think it’s great that North Wales Police have embraced social media, and like many, have found their tweet updates on events round the town genuinely useful.

Amusingly many of the tweets come with some interesting hashtags, that have been catching our attention here in the Wrexham.com offices. Underneath we have compiled our top ten North Wales Police hashtags, which will hopefully inspire more interesting hashtag combinations.

1. The top hashtag (and general tweeting!) comes from @NWPPDLoki, PD Loki the police dog who uses the hashtag #followthepaw. PD Loki also retweeted a Wrexham.com article on Parvovirus, a virus that seriously affects dogs. We quite like the image of a dog tweeting while out and about, so for good measure, here is a ‘selfie’ posted by PD Loki as well.
