Around 75 classic cars from the 1960s to 1980s will hit the road tomorrow as part of a charity tour across parts of Denbighshire and Wrexham.

The event, which has been organised by the North Wales Classic Fords group, will begin at midday at the Rhug Estate in Corwen on Sunday 21st May.

For those who want to catch a glimpse of the classic Ford cars, the tour will stop at the Horseshoe Pass at around 1pm before passing through Rossett and to Holt Village Centre between 3pm and 3:30pm.

Established by two police officers, Aled Hopwood and David Allmark 13 years ago, North Wales Classic Fords has grown into a nationally known group of classic Ford owners of 1960 / 1970 / 1980 rear wheel drive Fords such as Mk1 Escort / Mk2 Escort / Anglia / Capri / Cortina / Grenada / Zodiac / Zephyr etc.

The group has won a major national award for the best Tour in the UK and in doing so has raised over £50,000 for Hope House Children’s Hospices.
