North East Wales Search and Rescue team was called out by North Wales Police at 08:09 hours this morning to search for a vulnerable person missing from their home in the Wrexham area.

As the search and rescue team are also involved in the search in Machynlleth for missing 5 year old April Jones , they called in colleagues from Cheshire Search and Rescue to help.

Thankfully the missing person was found by lunchtime ‘well out of the area’ so the search and rescue teams were stood down at 12:30.

North East Wales Search and Rescue had earlier been asked to send swiftwater rescue technicians to help in the search for April Jones in Machynlleth .

All members of the search and rescue team are unpaid volunteers, its probably worth having a read of their fundraising page here.
