New ‘Open Air Venue’ On Crispin Lane Takes Shape
Seating and fridgeware have been installed on a previous ‘eyesore’ site on Crispin Lane, with local rumours a new open air venue is taking shape.
UPDATE Tuesday: There has been movement… of the sofas! As we have just documented on twitter:

Monday information…
The sofas are in the shadow of the up-for-sale £12 million ‘Wrexham Village’ student flats has been previously described as an eyesore, prompting a petition and clear up notice from Wrexham Council back in 2015.
Recently more detritus has appeared on the site, with a range of sofas appearing recently.
One wag told us this afternoon on Crispin Lane, “Perhaps they are looking to create an open air venue? We just need a big screen!”
Another anonymous passer by was more scathing, saying: “It is frankly making a mockery of Wrexham Council.”
We have yet to confirm reports Wrexham Council visited the site last week with a request made to the landlords that the sofas be cleared.
We have also tweeted about the mystery sofas previously:
