Over the last week several people have been in touch with @wrexham on twitter saying they had spotted mystery police convoys in the area.

Today North Wales Police has said “The Press Office have had many recent calls about a police convoy travelling all over North Wales” referring to a driving course.

“The officers involved are trained to the highest standard by or Driving School based at Police HQ in Colwyn Bay” with the above picture also released.

As usual Wrexham.com had been tweeted @Wrexham on various sightings, although until now we had not heard further (nor enquired!):

Other sightings of secure convoys have been reported, and there has been some ‘VIP’ transit in the area with Prince Edward moving from Shropshire to Chester , and of course a major security operation at Caernarfon Crown Court with armed police and associated protection.
