Multiple Vehicle RTC In Cefn Mawr

An multiple vehicle road traffic collision has occurred on the B5605 Newbridge Road in Cefn Mawr around 5:30pm this evening.

Update 6.30pm: Fire service has left the scene however there are still road closures around. Traffic congestion is occuring due to this.

Several people have been in touch to say they have seen emergency services including police, fire service and ambulances heading towards and attending the scene.

The fire service is currently in attendance and it is reported that one person is trapped.

We have also been told that police on the scene are asking people to turn round by the Newbridge Pub and head back in the opposite direction.

 

 

 

We dont believe this is connected to the police helicopter activity earlier in the afternoon.
