Concerns about broadband services in Wrexham have been discussed with BT by Wrexham MP Ian Lucas.

Over the last year we have documented the delays that have affected the roll out of new fibre based broadband (here), with more issues after it ‘went live‘.

Mr Lucas met with representatives from BT in Parliament this week alongside other North Wales Labour MPs.

During wide-ranging discussions about the company’s work in North Wales and its role in improving communications infrastructure, Mr Lucas also raised delays with the current BT broadband work in Wrexham which had been raised with him by constituents.

Mr Lucas said “I was very pleased when BT said last year that they would be improving the broadband network in the Wrexham area, and lent my support to their programme.”

“However, since then constituents have raised delays with the broadband rollout in the Wrexham area with me – and I share their concern. I raised the issue with BT who said they were aware of concerns and that they anticipated that services would be available shortly.”
