Emergency services attended the scene however the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed but has since re-opened and police enquiries are now underway.

Sergeant Raymond Williams of the Roads Policing Unit said: “Sadly this is now being investigated as a fatal road traffic collision and our thoughts remain with the man’s family who are now being supported by a specially-trained Family Liaison Officer.

“We know the area was busy at the time and we are appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or to anybody who may have seen the motorcycle – that was travelling from the general direction of Coedpoeth – prior to the collision, to contact us.”

“Equally we are also appealing to anybody who may have dash cam footage of the collision to get in touch.”
