Staff from Moneypenny in Wrexham are getting ready to take on the ‘most colourful race around’ in aid of a local hospice.

The Nightingale House Hospice Rainbow Dash Bubble Bash will return to Bangor on Dee Racecourse on Sunday September 10th in a blaze of colour – and this time, extra foam.

Sponsored by Moneypenny, the annual family-fun event sees over 1,000 people of all ages tackle the four kilometre dash around the racecourse while getting splattered in multi-coloured paint.

Now in its forth year, the Rainbow Dash Bubble Bash invites people to walk, run or jog through four kilometres of powder paint ‘colour explosions’ as well as foam bubble pits to raise money for the hospice.

As the event sponsors, Moneypenny staff get to have a dedicated check in area, special t-shirts and their own paint station to throw colours over all participants.

Joanne Hope, partnerships executive, at Moneypenny says: “We look forward to the Rainbow Dash every year. It’s great fun and we always really enjoy it. It’s a brilliant thing to do with friends or colleagues and all for a good cause. It’s not every day you end up all colours of the rainbow.”

Nightingale House fundraiser, Sam Eastwood, added:  “We are very grateful to Moneypenny for coming on board with us for this event again this year.

“The Rainbow Dash is always a special occasion and one of the highlights on our fundraising calendar. This year we have added in even more paint and bubbles so it promises to be more colourful and more bubbly than ever before.”

Entrance fees, which includes a t-shirt, sunglasses and either a race medal or a bacon sandwich at the end, are £9 for a child (age 5 to 15), £18 for an adult or £45 for a family of two adults and two children. Registration starts from 9am with the event beginning at 11am.

You can register to take part in the event via the Nightingale House Hospice website.
