Update: The 15-year-old girl who was missing from the Rhos-On-Sea area has this afternoon been found safe and well in the Essex area.

North Wales Police would like to thank people for their assistance and support.

A 23-year-old man from the Essex area has been arrested in connection with the incident and will be interviewed in due course by officers from the Metropolitan Police.

Original Story: Although this is more up the coast towards Colwyn Bay police have said it is possible that the teenager is using public transport.

Gemma was reported missing yesterday and is described as white, 4ft 3’ tall has a fair complexion, blue eyes and shoulder length blonde straight hair. She was last seen wearing a zipped off while / cream coloured ‘Hollister’ hooded top, black leggings, grey coloured Ugg boots and a black and cream coloured beanie type hat which is in the style of a bear with pomp poms for ears.

The 15-year-old disappearance is out of character and officers are appealing to anyone who has seen Gemma or may know of her whereabouts to contact North Wales Police.

A direct appeal is also being made to Gemma herself to get in touch with police and her family to let them know she is safe and well.

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen Gemma to please get in touch on 101.
