Minera Conservation Area Consultation
Consultation is currently underway on the Draft Character Assessment and Management Plan for the Minera Conservation Area. It seeks to ensure that the special character and appearance of the Area is fully recognised so that it can be preserved or enhanced for future generations.
Your views on the Plan are being welcomed by the council, and Wrexham’s Planning Services are encouraging you to give your views or suggestions on any part of the document.
The document has been divided into two parts:
Firstly, the Character Assessment which provides historical background and defines the qualities that make up the special character and appearance of the Conservation Area.
Secondly, the Management Plan which sets out proposals for the preservation and enhancement of the area as well design guidance for alterations to existing properties and for new development.
A summary of the document will be displayed at Minera School Hall, Minera Hall Road, Minera between 3.30 pm and 6.30 pm on Thursday 8 November 2012 where the Conservation Officers will be available on the day. It will also be displayed at Contact Wrexham reception area, 16 Lord Street, Wrexham between 29 October 2012 and 9th November 2012.
Members of the public are invited to attend and view the proposals and leave their comments or submit them in writing to “Head of Community Wellbeing & Development, 16 Lord Street, Wrexham, LL11 1LG”
All comments should be received before 12th November 2012.
