A mentoring workshop is being held at the Racecourse in Wrexham as part of a major UK Government initiative being delivered in partnership with the Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative to train 15,000 people in mentoring skills.

Agile Group are asking for people in and around Wrexham who have ‘been there & done it’ to pass on their valuable experience. Scott Bailey from Agile told Wrexham.com “By volunteering a little of your time you can ensure that new & growing businesses benefit from real support from real entrepreneurs & successful business people. This is about small, medium & micro-businesses helping each other to succeed, and is a chance to improve your own development and performance”.

Training and support is given to those who take part, and mentors get up to 24-months FREE membership to the IOEE ( Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs) worth £300.

The event is being held at Wrexham FC’s Racecourse ground on the following dates/times:
25th June 12 – (09.15 – 13.00)
25th June 12 – (17.30 – 21.00)
10th July 12 – (09.15 – 13.00)

Agile tell us they held an event at the Racecourse in May, and have localish events in Hawarden, Mold and Chester lined up in July. They were recent winners of the Wales Training Award & National Training Award which Scott says “is a sizable achievement considering there are only 5 of us & we were up against some real heavyweights!“.

Anyone interested in taking part is urged to contact Scott on 07921 834 022 or email [email protected] , and those taking part only require to commit one hour of mentoring a month.
