Meeting With Health Chiefs Will be Available to View on Webcast
Members of the public will have the chance to watch as councillors put their questions to senior officials at the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board with a live webcast this week.
The Safeguarding, Communities and Wellbeing Scrutiny Committee will start at 4pm on Wednesday 18 January. It will also be webcast live on the Wrexham Council website.
The meeting is one of two each year, where representatives from the Health Board attend to answer questions posed by local members and discuss health matters with them.
The meeting will cover updates on implementation of the Board’s Special Measures Programme; Community and Primary Care Facilities; GP services in Wrexham and plans for recruitment.
Questions over parking provision at the Wrexham Maelor and what is being done to alleviate the issues are also on the meeting agenda.
Cllr Rob Walsh, Chairman of the Safeguarding, Communities and Wellbeing Scrutiny Committee, said:
“I know the subject of healthcare and its delivery in our communities is one of vital importance to residents, and many of them will have a keen interest in the matters to be discussed at the meeting.
“I would encourage anyone who has an interest in these matters to follow the course of the meeting via the webcast.”
In October 2016 a meeting between the committee and health chiefs on tackling discarded needles around Wrexham town centre was also webcast live on the Wrexham Council website.
