Patients and staff at the Wrexham Maelor received a festive visit from the mayor.

Mayor and mayoress Andy and Beverley Williams visited many of the wards and talked to patients and staff.

Andy said, “It was great to meet patients, both the elderly and the young, it’s really important for people to have visitors and we absolutely love doing it.

“It’s important to acknowledge the staff too. My wife works in the hospital and so we know how much hard work is going on over the festive period and the sacrifices that staff and their families make.

“It has been great to see the effort that the wards have put in to bring Christmas to the patients who are here over the festive period and to make sure they have a nice time.”
