Mark Prandle Banned From Wrexham Town Centre

A well known local character has been banned from parts of Wrexham for two years.

Mark Prandle, 49, appeared in Wrexham Magistrate’s Court today where he was issued with a two year Criminal Behaviour Order prohibiting him from entering Wrexham town centre other than to visit certain service providers under strict conditions.

Mr Prandle must not:

  • Use or encourage others to use foul, abusive, insulting, offensive, threatening, disorderly or intimidating language or behaviour in any public place or towards any person in an antisocial manner likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to any person.
  • Not to enter Wrexham Town Centre as per map (other than via Regent Street on a Monday/ Wednesday/Friday between the hours of 9:30-10:00am)
  • Approach persons unknown to ask for money or alms
  • Place an in object in front of people for collection

Inspector Paul Wycherley said; “This has been a time consuming matter, but North Wales Police is pleased that the courts have now issued this Criminal Behaviour Order.

“Mark Prandle is a well-known face around the town and has been an anti-social nuisance over many years, causing distress to people going about their lawful business.

“This two year banning order will give some respite to those who work and visit Wrexham town centre.”
