Man Sustains Minor Injuries In Chirk House Burglary

Detectives are appealing for information after a man in his 50s sustained minor injuries when he disturbed an intruder at his home in Chirk in the early hours of this morning.

The incident took place at around 3am when the man found a burglar at his house on Hand Terrace, resulting in him sustaining minor injuries to his leg.

The offender made off with a Toshiba laptop and a small amount of cash.

A police description describes the burglar as a 5ft 10 male, of slim build and wearing dark clothing

The victim received hospital treatment but was later released.

Investigating Officer Detective Constable Clare Foreman of Wrexham CID said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was out and about in Chirk during the early hours of this morning and saw any suspicious person or activity to contact with us on North Wales Police 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
