Man Injured After Aggravated Burglary in Rhosddu

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained serious injuries during a burglary in Rhosddu during the early hours of this morning.

Two men entered a property near the Prices Lane junction, Rhosddu, shortly before 1am and attacked the victim. Money and a mobile phone were stolen during the incident.

The victim received medical treatment for his injuries, which are serious, but not life-threatening or life changing.

He has since been released from hospital.

DS Anne-Louise Jones has said; ‘This was a serious and unprovoked attack. The victim is receiving appropriate medical attention and is very shaken by the incident.

“We are appealing for anyone who was travelling along New Road in Rhosddu Wrexham around 1am and saw anything suspicious to get in touch on 101 quoting reference RC17005041.”
