Man Charged Over Town Centre Bus Crash

A man has been charged after an incident where a bus was left hanging over the edge of the slope down to Wrexham station.

The collision involving a bus and a black coloured Ford Ka happened shortly before 4.40pm on Monday, September 21, on Regent Street, near the Wrexham General train station.

North Wales Police say: “Following the collision whereby a bus went into the railings on Regent St, Wrexham on 21st September a man has now been charged.”

A 22-year-old man with no fixed abode will appear before Wrexham Magistrates on Friday 23rd October.

Police say he has been charged with:

  • Section 3 RTA 1988 (driving without due care and / or consideration)
  • Driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence x2
  • No insurance x2
  • Fail to stop injury RTC
  • Fail to report injury RTC
