Man Arrested After Knife Raid On Tanyfron Shop

A 34 year old man is in custody following a robbery at store in Tanyfron Wrexham at 9.38pm last night.

The female member of staff was left traumatised after being threatened with a knife, the offender has then made off with cash, alcohol and cigarettes.

Police attended and following enquires at the scene a man was arrested a short time later, with many Wrexham.com readers getting in touch reporting dog units and the police helicopter being used in the search.

Det Inspector Neil Harrison of Wrexham CID confirmed that a male was in custody and that enquires remain ongoing. He said: “Our investigation will continue today. Officers will be in the vicinity throughout the day conducting house to house inquiries and Crime Scene Investigators are also in attendance.”
