Man Arrested In Connection With Conspiracy To Supply Drugs

A 30-year-old man from Ruabon has been arrested in connection with an ongoing operation against drugs supply and money laundering in Cefn Mawr.

The man was charged this evening with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and a money laundering offence.

He will be held in custody to appear at Wrexham Magistrates Court on Wednesday September 25.

Last week a substantial amount of cocaine was discovered following searches in Cefn Mawr, Liverpool and other areas of Wrexham. Six local men were arrested in connection of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. You can read the report from last week here.

Four men appeared in Wrexham Magistrate’s Court in connection with the operation and have been remanded in custody.

Supt Sacha Hatchett said: “I would like to reassure the public that we are determined to deal with serious crime in the Wrexham area and this operation is evident of our commitment.

“We expect to be making more arrests and are appealing to people who may have information which will assist us in this crackdown to call us on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously 0800 555 111.”
