A male has been injured following a collision with a horse box in Gwersyllt yesterday evening.

Last night Wrexham.com reported that emergency services had been called to an incident between a pedestrian and a vehicle on the A541 Mold Road near the Shell Garage.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police has since confirmed that the vehicle involved was a horse box.

The collision, which took place shortly after 9:30pm resulted in the temporary closure of Mold Road – with reports that ‘seven’ police vehicles and ambulances were at the scene.

Mold Road reopened at around 10:50pm last night.

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We had a call shortly after 9.45pm last night, Sunday 10 April, to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Mold Road in Gwersyllt.

“We sent two rapid response cars and two emergency ambulances to the scene, and a man was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”

A spokesperson for North Wales Police added that the male has since left hospital and was treated for a minor injury.
