A male has been taken to hospital following a ‘serious’ road traffic collision which took place over the weekend.

Shortly after 12:20am yesterday morning a number of people contacted Wrexham.com regarding what is believed to have been a serious incident on Crescent Road, near Tesco in Wrexham Town Centre.

One person got in touch with Wrexham.com to say: “Bad crash by Tesco, hope everyone is safe. Looks very serious!”

Another witness told us that when they passed through the area, a vehicle was facing the wrong way near the steps up to Tesco.

A spokesperson for North Wales Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 11.40pm on Saturday 4th July to a road traffic collision on Crescent Road in Wrexham.

“We sent a rapid response car and an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a man was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
