Male Arrested On Suspicion Of Robbery & Assault On Talbot Rd

A male has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault following an incident in Wrexham yesterday evening.

Several people contacted Wrexham.com last night regarding an incident on Talbot Road last night, with reports that someone had been ‘mugged’.

A 19-year-old male was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital for treatment as a result of the incident.

One eyewitness told Wrexham.com that three police cars attended the scene as well as a forensics vehicle.

NWP James Yoxall tweeted shortly after the incident to say Talbot Road had been closed off in both directions, advising people to use an alternative route.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said a 17-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 8.11pm last night to reports a man had been injured on Talbot Road in Wrexham. We responded with a crew in an emergency ambulance, and a man was taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
