Macmillan Cancer Support to Host Drop-in Information Session in Wrexham

Macmillan Cancer Support will in Wrexham tomorrow hosting a drop-in session for anyone interested in finding out how they can involved with the charity.

The drop-in session will take place at the Ramada Plaza Hotel tomorrow (Thursday 20th July) from 2pm – 5pm and will provide information on volunteering, fundraising, cancer information and other Macmillan services.

If you have been affected by cancer and have questions about Macmillan, or would like to give something back, this is the event for you.

The dedicated Macmillan engagement and volunteering team will be on hand to chat through opportunities in North East Wales including support buddying schemes, campaigning opportunities, ways to help others by sharing your experiences and lots more.

Pam Wedley, Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Specialist in Wrexham, will be available to answer any questions or concerns about cancer and provide leaflets and general service information.

Macmillan Regional Fundraising Volunteer Manager, Helen Knight, will also be on hand to answer any questions about getting involved; whether that’s organising your own event, hosting a coffee morning, or cheering on participants at one of our challenge events.

Stephen Williams, Volunteering Services Manager for North Wales, said: “We’re hosting this drop-in event to reach out to anyone affected by cancer in Wrexham and surrounding areas.

We’ll be on hand to provide information on ways to get involved with Macmillan, and Pam will be available to answer any questions people have about cancer.

Whether you have an interest in fundraising, volunteering, or need some support, please do stop by for a coffee and to say hello to the team.”
