Two neighbouring shops in a Wrexham village have joined forces to raise funds for charity.

Booze Buster and McColls, two neighbouring shops in Ruabon High Street, came together last week to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer charity as part of MacMillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning annual fundraiser.

The Shops organised a cake stall on Saturday 17th September and raise £209.

Ruabon community has also seen other Macmillan Coffee Mornings raising much needed funds for the Cancer Charity.

Booze Buster’s Beverley Edwards said: “A big thank you must go out to all who supported the event, from those who donated the cakes, those who bought the cakes and the staff of both shops for their time and help making this a success.”

Pol Wong who runs a business in the village added: “This is what community is all about, with people coming together. We all know someone who has suffered from Cancer, and MacMillan do brilliant work in supporting patients and their families during what is a very difficult time.

“It’s great to see so many of the residents supporting community events.”
