North Wales Fire and Rescue Service are investigating the cause of two fires in Llangollen which are believed to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters were called to a fire in the open at Panorama Walk, Llangollen yesterday evening which tied up its resources for 10 hours.

In a statement a spokesperson said: “There were two seats of fire and they started late at night – which suggests strongly that this was deliberate.

“Fires like this do not simply start by themselves.

“We will not tolerate such deliberate fires and will work with our partners to investigate them with a view to seeking prosecution.

“You can help by calling the Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you have any information.”
