This morning there were large queues on the Llan-y-Pwll link road between Borras and the Gresford Roundabout.

Previously we have reported that there will be road closures in place on the roundabout between 8pm on Friday 28th June to 6am on Monday 1st July.

A week later there will be a similar closure between Friday 5th July at 8pm and 6am on Monday 8th July.

Several people have been in touch for clarity on the closure, and we checked with the council yesterday who told us the information put out is ‘correct and the roundabout will close on the Friday evening and open again on the Monday morning’.

We asked Wrexham Council if the works were separate to the planned works at the weekend, they told us: “The works this morning were necessary to replace kerbing in advance of the weekend works.

“The works should be completed later today and the traffic management removed.”
