The Liberal Democrats have selected Calum Davies as their Clwyd South candidate for the upcoming general election.

Calum is originally from Bangor and he has lived in Wales all his life. He is a fluent Welsh speaker who says he is “passionate about delivering the right policies for the people of Wales”.

In the announcement statement, the Clwyd South Liberal Democrats say: “Calum has a background in retail. His experience of customer service has driven his desire to help people and enhance their communities.

“He has always been committed to helping people to thrive and grow.

“Calum wants us, here in Wales, to reach our full potential within the community of nations that is Europe. He believes that we can work best when we work together.

“This cannot be more critical than in the agricultural sector, with the importance of protecting jobs to ensure sustainable communities and a future for our agricultural industries.”

“It is an honour to represent the Liberal Democrats for Clwyd South in this election,” said Calum.

“This election will shape our future and I will fight for Clwyd South to ensure the remain voice is heard loud and clear. We are the only national UK party who have pledged to stop Brexit.

“This election will decide the future of Britain and of Wales’ place in Europe.”
