A local man was arrested in Gwersyllt last night, in an operation that appeared to involved several police cars and a helicopter.

Like many local people we were aware of the police helicopter being above town from around 10:30pm last night, appearing to start operations centrally then moving out over the Gwersyllt area around 11pm with much of the activity being documented on social media eg.

Wrexham.com queried North Wales Police about the activity last night, they told us this afternoon: “At about 10.15pm last night an 18 yr old local man was arrested in Gwersyllt for possession of a BB gun.

“He was later cautioned at a local Police station and released from custody.”
