There’s still time for artists to put forward their commission for souvenirs for the launch of Tŷ Pawb next spring.

With the multi-million pound arts and market facility just a few months away from opening, work is well underway for April’s launch event, Dydd Llun Pawb – meaning Everybody’s Monday.

During the past year stories relating to Wrexham – from the weird to the wonderful to the good and the bad – have been collected. The successful artists will each use a specific story as direct inspiration for the design of their prototype souvenir.

Six in total will be made and that means that six artists will be needed to work on them and Oriel Wrecsam is commissioning them right now.

The budget per artist is £3,000 and the deadline for proposals is Monday 16th October with interviews taking place on 26th and 27th November.

The project itself will take place between November 2017 and February 2018.

Applications are welcomed from artists working in any discipline across art forms. Oriel say they are particularly keen to hear from artists who actively engage with communities or people within their practice.

Artists at any stage in their career can apply but those currently studying will not be considered.
