Large Scale Power Cut Affects Homes Across Rhos and Johnstown

A number of properties across Rhosllanerchrugog and the surrounding areas have been hit by a power cut this evening.

Issues were first reported at around 9:20pm around the Ysgol y Grango. However there have also been reports that properties in Johnstown, Penycae and Ponciau have also been affected.

A statement released by SP Energy Networks at 9:15pm reads: “Your property is currently affected by a supply interruption in the LL14, LL20, LL11 postcode area of Wrexham, Llangollen.

“This has been caused by a fault on our network and is affecting properties in Vinegar Hill, Wern Road and surrounding area. We will attempt to reset the network to restore your supply remotely.

“Our Engineers have been dispatched and will work to restore your electricity supply by 11:15 PM.

“Should this information change on arrival, every effort will be made to keep you updated. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
