Over 1000 Hay Bales on Fire Between Marford & Borras

Fire crews are currently tackling a large fire involving over 1000 hay bales in Wrexham.

Update 16:25: A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service have said fire crews remain at the scene and that the fire is thought to include approximately 1,200 hay bales.

Emergency services are warning that Hoseley Lane between Borras and Marford is likely to be shut for the rest of the day due to a large fire.

One pump from Wrexham and one from Mold are currently at the scene, along with an Environmental Protection Unit from Wrexham

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they are dealing with a fire which is thought to include 300-400 bales of hay.

North Wales Police Control Room have since tweeted to say: “Hoseley Lane in Marford, Wrexham is closed from Marford Hill to Borras Lane due to smoke from a fire effecting visibility.”
