Anthony James Munkley and Lee Michael Roberts, both from Wrexham, were today jailed for a minimum of 28 years for murdering a Wrexham man with a crossbow.

25 year old Sion Davies died after an incident at flats in Caia Park last October.

A statement was issued by the family of Sion Davies saying: “We are still completely devastated at the loss of Sion and still can’t believe this is real.

“Regardless of the circumstances of his death, Sion was a caring, loving son, brother and partner and we are lost without him.

“We’d like to thank the local community of Caia Park for their ongoing support over the last eight months.”

North Wales Police have said: “This has been a tragic case which the family have had to endure since last October. However, today justice has been done.

“North Wales Police hopes that the family can find some comfort In knowing that these callous individuals who killed Sion have been brought to justice.

“We would also like to thank the community of Caia park for working with the police and for their support throughout this ordeal.

“North Wales Police welcome the sentences that have been given today and hope that this will assist with the family of Sion in moving forward.”
