Joint police and HMRC operations target ‘several premises’ in Wrexham area
A town centre store has been raided, and items seized, as part of a series of properties targeted by Trading Standards and HMRC.
Police officers were assisting the operation conducted at the Euro Delikatesy at the end of the High Street in the town centre early this afternoon.
@wrexham looks like the off license next to ladbrokes and the wynnstay is being emptied by the police. Cheap beers there too, shame

HMRC spokesperson told us: “HMRC officers, with support from Trading Standards, are currently working in the Wrexham area. We cannot provide any further information at this time.”
Wrexham Council told us: “This is part of a joint operation with NWP and HMRC looking at several premises in the Wrexham area.”
Details of the other properties targeted in the area today, or what items have been seized and why, have not yet been released.
Just over a year ago the same property was raided by HMRC, again part of a wider number of properties, to disrupt the sale and supply of illegal tobacco and alcohol across North Wales and uncovered more than 440,000 cigarettes, 169 kilos of hand-rolling tobacco and 2,700 litres of alcohol – all believed to be illicit.
