Tickets for a comedian’s debut performance in Wrexham have sold out in record time.

John Bishop’s first performance in the William Aston Hall saw the show sell out in half an hour.

The comedian will be bringing his ‘Work In Progress’ tour to the town to test out new material, before going on a UK arena tour this Autumn.

In total 850 tickets were sold in the 30 minute period.

Details of the comedian’s performance in the town were put on Facebook and Twitter on April 3rd, the morning before tickets went on sale to the public.

John Bishop joins a number of big names to perform at the William Aston Hall, with Jimmy Carr, Russell Howard and Alan Davies all gracing the stage over the past few months.

Along with a performance from John Bishop, there are also upcoming gigs at the William Aston Hall from Jon Richardson, Dave Gorman and the return of Jimmy Carr.
