The Bramwell Pub Co, who run the Ironworks bar on Town Hill has entered administration however the bar remains open.

Zolfo Cooper have been appointed administrator of the company, which up until a restructure last year was known as Barracuda.

Administrators have said twenty five of the over one hundred and eighty venues they run have been closed immediately, however unlike some site around the UK the Ironworks on Town Hill does not have signs in windows indicating closure.

The sections of Bramwells that have not closed will be kept open and ‘continue to trade while exploring a range of options including sale of parts of the business’.

The ‘challenging economic environment’ has been blamed for the move to administration.

We have no confirmation yet of the status of the Ironworks, however this tweet yesterday for a job advert along with the lack of signage would indicate it is still trading!
