Investigation Underway Following Suspicious Death in Wrexham – Vernon St Raid Connected

An investigation is underway after the body of a man was found at in Wrexham yesterday morning.

Police were called at 8.23am on Monday March 27 to an address in Crescent Close to reports of a body of a middle aged man being found at the location.

Det Supt Iestyn Davies said: “We are treating the death as suspicious. A post mortem examination is being carried out this morning.

“Meanwhile, as part of our investigations, we have been carrying out searches in properties on Vernon Street Rhosddu, Wrexham and on LLysfaen Road in Old Colwyn.

“There are no further details at present.”

Anyone with information about the incident in Crescent Close Wrexham is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference V042465.

This morning armed police are still in Vernon Street after a ‘raid’ last night, where armed police attended a property.

A police car is still stationed on Crescent Close with police tape around a side gate and property doorway.

Vernon Street was closed off for around two hours last night, with Gavin sending the below picture. The police helicopter was supporting overhead for an hour.
