Investigation underway after body found near train tracks in Wrexham

An investigation is underway after a body was found close to a train track in Wrexham over the weekend.

Officers from the British Transport Police were called to the train line close to Bradley Road in Wrexham at 4.39am yesterday morning following reports that a person had been found close to the tracks.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “We attended, alongside colleagues from the ambulance service, but sadly a person was declared dead at the scene.

“Officers are now working to establish the circumstances of how that person came to be there and are trying to locate their next of kin.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40 or texting 61016 with reference 91 of 3 June.”
