The emergency department at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital is facing increased demand for the second day in the row.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board say the emergency department is still “extremely busy” and are asking the public not to visit unless it is a medical emergency.
The health board say there are “options to help you get the right advice or treatment to reduce delays in getting the care you need”.
It is the second day that the emergency department has seen increased demand, with a similar message issued to the public on Monday.
A spokesperson for the health board told us yesterday afternoon: ““Our Emergency Department at Wrexham Maelor Hospital is currently extremely busy.
“Patients who do not need full emergency hospital treatment are urged to seek appropriate advice and care from other NHS services, including our minor injuries units, local pharmacists or by calling NHS Direct Wales on 0845 46 47.”
