Incident on King Street by Bus Station

There were a large number of police, fire and ambulances on King Street by the bus station around 9am this morning. Below is the live updates on the incident:

It appears they are dealing with an incident around the TE Roberts store or in the flat above the estate agents.

We believe its non fire related and an ongoing incident.

Due to the position of the emergency vehicles its likely bus services will be affected.

The bus station are announcing that Nos 2,4,6 and 8 are out of service for an hour.

All emergency services are still on scene however the fire engine has come down from the window it was on.

It appears the fire engine is packing up to depart, due to no fire and the situation being under control.

Local legend Les Evans arrives to take pictures for tomorrows papers.

09:37 – King Street is back open, however police still on scene.

Rumours doing the rounds on social media, as usual with this type of incident, however the stretcher & ambulance seen did not have a ‘body’ covered up. The ambulance was full of equipment.

09:40 – Its been confirmed buses are returning to service.

09:45 – Final emergency vehicle leaves King St. Lots of police parked in Yale so left by foot.

A male, believed to be a relative of the person inside the partner of the female who was in the flat, has now locked the flat. Its believed one female has been taken to hospital.

UPDATE

12.19 – Just received the following statement from the North Wales Fire Service:-

“We were called at 08.39hrs this morning to an address on King St. One fire appliance and an aerial ladder platform, both from Wrexham, attended to assist with the rescue from the roof of the building of a 29 year old female who was transferred to hospital. ”

Buses were affected for around 45 minutes.
