Parents were left disgusted this weekend after finding feces & urine in a children’s play area.

The waste was found on the bottom of a children’s slide in the play area in Bellevue Park on Saturday March 8th.

There are also reports that similar waste was left ‘smeared’ across a second slide in the park.

One parent who wishes to remain anonymous, contacted Wrexham.com to say she had taken her four-year-old daughter to play in the park on Saturday and was left ‘disgusted’ by what she saw.

She told Wrexham.com: “On Saturday I promised to take my daughter to Bellevue park she loves the red slide, so as promised we got on the bus went for dinner then went to the park. I was really disgusted when we got there, she went to go on the slide but couldn’t as there was poo all over it.

“My daughter was really upset over this so I said to her why don’t you go on the other slide and as I walked over there was poo smeared all down the slide as well as urine it was absolutely disgusting.

“This is really unfair on children who love using the park.”

The below image of the red slide was tweeted to Wrexham.com by Matthew over the weekend.

The image generated a lot of discussion on Twitter, with people tweeting to say the incident was ‘gross’ and disgusting’. One person even tweeted to say: “People are gross. God knows what their homes are like!”

We have contacted Wrexham Council who said: “The waste on the slide at Bellevue has been reported to our Streetscene department who will attend and clear up as necessary.”
