With Christmas on its way, Wrexham Council is encouraging members of the public to support the town centre ahead of late night shopping starting this week.

Between 5pm and 8pm on Thursday 3rd December, 10th and 17th a number of shops will be opening later for members of the public to do their Christmas shopping.

It is hoped that the later opening hours will give shoppers more time to visit and support local businesses.

Children and big children can also collect a map from Ty Pawb, and try help Santa locate the 12 naughty elves which will be running riot around the town centre.

Ordinarily Wrexham would be preparing to play host to festivities including the Victorian Market and three day Christmas village – which attract thousands of visitors to the town centre each year.

Although such events are unable to go ahead this year due to the coronavirus restrictions, the town centre’s Christmas lights will be on and there will be street entertainment during the late night shopping.

Late night shopping starts in Wrexham town centre on Thursday 3rd December.

Ahead of the launch of the Christmas Light Up Elf Hunt, a video has also been released telling the tale of the 12 naughty elves, missing in Wrexham:
