There is currently long delays on the A483 following an accident on the Posthouse Roundabout.

UPDATE 6pm: Heavy traffic is persisting, as the queues from rush hour filter through on top of the issues from earlier.

Shortly before 4pm this afternoon there were reports of a collision / incident on the A483 towards the Posthouse Roundabout, with Keeley tweeting Wrexham.com to say: “Avoid A483 Posthouse Chester Roundabout, there’s been an accident. Hope everyone’s okay.”

The collision appears to have happened on the A483 Wrexham Bypass Northbound near A55 J38 (Posthouse roundabout), however it has not been confirmed how many vehicles are involved.

As a result of the collision there is heavy traffic for those travelling towards Chester – with traffic currently backing up from the Posthouse Roundabout to the Rossett Junction.

We were out scouring polling stations and came back towards the direction of traffic around 4:30pm with queues northwards well past the Rossett turn off at that point.

There is an estimated delay of half an hour for those travelling in that direction – so if possible, avoid that route!

More information when we have it…
