Heavy Snow Forecast In Wrexham Tomorrow
The Met Office have issued a ‘yellow weather warning’ for heavy snow and cold weather in Wrexham over the next 24 hours.
Over the past week there has been light snowfall and sleet across the county, with some parts of Wrexham seeing slightly heavier snowfall that others.
However the forecast for the next 24 hours states there will be snowfall from 6pm this evening, straight through to early tomorrow evening.
A yellow weather warning has been issued from 4pm this afternoon, when temperatures are expected to drop to 1 degrees, until midday tomorrow afternoon. The snow is expected to be at its heaviest throughout the early hours of tomorrow morning.
A statement on the Met Office website notes: “An area of snow is expected to extend northeastwards from parts of Wales across the Midlands and into parts of northern England on Tuesday evening and night, persisting into Wednesday morning. Accumulations of 3-8 cm are likely in places, perhaps 10-15 cm very locally on high ground. The snow should ease gradually through Wednesday morning. The public should be aware of the risk of disruption to transport.”
As you would expect temperatures are expected to drop over the next few days, with lows of -3 degrees forecast for tomorrow.
Currently there is no snow forecast for Thursday, however the cold weather is set to continue for the remainder of the week – with sleet and snow forecast for Friday.
