Part of the iconic Hand Hotel in Chirk is looking to change use to a childrens nursery. Plans submitted to Wrexham Council suggest that a self contained conference suite is to change use. Documents reveal that the business plan looks ahead for possible growth in the second year of operation, with the three bedrooms and a flat above the premises also being used.

Tick Tock Childcare are looking to offer flexible childcare from the new centre, with onsite and offside care.

The section proposed to change is behind the hotel but still physically joined to the building. The carpark will be split in designation, with three spaces being reserved for the new childcare centre.

CADW refer to the building as ‘a fine example of a C18 hostelry with contemporary fenestration’, or windows as perhaps people more commonly refer to them as!
