The Gresford Roundabout is finally having potholes fixed today, with the Chester Road lanes on to the roundabout restricted to a single lane.

Last week workmen were spotted measuring out various distances on the highway and spray painting various markings.

The work appears to be taking place on all areas of the junction, with most entrances and exits having yellow spray marks.

The carriageway repairs were listed in this week’s roadworks bulletin, starting on Monday through to Monday. The work was listed as ‘night time’ between 6pm to 11pm however does appear to be now including daytime works.

Various lane closures will be in place with traffic light control, and delays could be expected as a result.

The holes were subject to our April Fool this year, where we wrote how Wrexham Council would soon be offering helicopter tours of the caverns…
