Going Away? Tell The Police!
North Wales Police are trialling a scheme to help keep unoccupied homes safe.
The Eastern Community Safety Department have launched a ‘Temporary Unoccupied Premises’ or TUP scheme in the Wrexham area which will allow members of the public to notify the police when they are away from home, when they are going on holiday, having a short stay in hospital or working away on a temporary basis.
This scheme will not be available to temporary void properties, businesses, public buildings, schools, houses of multi occupancy, long term unoccupied properties or empty properties that are being refurbished.
You can notify police on the following ways but please do not call 101 or 999!
- [email protected]
- by writing to the Community Safety Department, Bodhyfryd, Wrexham, LL12 7BW
- calling 01978 348697/01978 348840
- visiting the front desk at Wrexham Police Station
- peaking to your local PCSO on patrol
Again, do not call 101 or 999 to inform Wrexham police of a TUP!
